Mr. Burkhead is in his 25th year at Del Mar High School and oversees the Performing Arts Department, teaching Music and Theatre Arts. He is also the conductor for the "Campbell Express-A Community Band". He is a frequent clinician and guest conductor for bands and musical theatre pit orchestras.

Ms. Biggs joined the Del Mar team in 2023 and teaches Theatre 1, Theatre 2/3, Dance Performance, Technical Theatre, and Theatre Production. She serves as director and choreographer for all DMHS theatre and dance productions including the Fall play, Winter musical, and Spring Showcase. As a lifelong performer who believes in the power of the arts to shape hearts and minds, she enjoys nothing more than helping her students to find a home within the performing arts world.
